Aboriginal Awareness Week Artisan Market
Location:Southcentre, Calgary, Alberta
Since its creation in 1992, Aboriginal Awareness Week takes place in June and has evolved as a country wide celebration to honour the many indigenous cultures in Canada including First Nation, Inuit and Métis.
In honour of this annual occurrence, members of Calgary’s Indigenous community have come together to create the Aboriginal Awareness Week Artisan Market, which will be held at Southcentre Mall on June 25 and 26. The two-day event will showcase 9 unique vendors and will begin with an opening ceremony honouring Indigenous traditions and heritage.
